I didnt realize how much i enjoyed it until i saw that i had been playing it for 2 hours straight and it felt like 5 minutes! exceelent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Designed to squeeze money. Extremely boring gameplay (at least in the first few hours). Client also has a few really annoying bugs / flaws like (for example) that you can't drag the scroll bar in windows and scroll speed is extremely slow. There are much better TCGs out there, for example duelyst and shadowverse.. its a cute little game you could play 10-20 minutes a day every couple hours .energy game . 10 minutes per one energy . pve very quickly begins to require 2-3-4 energy per attempt .progress slows to a devouring mud bog once you reach chapter 4 - the void .they claim unlimited pvp = arena . arena requires you to reach bounty rank 5 = will take a couple days , unless you pay.pvp is like slamming your face into a table . if you are not loaded with epics and legends you will get destroyed most of the time .--zero rewards for losses in arena , death spiral to nowhere with zero improvement .*while waiting 10 minutes for one energy , unless you pay*-arena rewards are locked behind 3 and 6 hour timers , unless you pay .--arena access requires rank 5 in bounties .bounties*pvp async* are behind 30 minute timewalls . you can bank up bounty battles , more at higher ranks , starting at 5 bounties . -once you are done the wait begins , unless you pay .bounties start off manageable then you will lose more and more as you rise and run into large epics , full epic decks , and uber legend cards .--lost in bounty gives you a small amount of gold . lose 20 times and you can buy one common card .. The more you play Spellstone, the more you begin to understand it for what it is. It's not something you can speedrun or play in one sitting. It's not the kind of game that you sit down to spend a weekend grinding. This game is an investment, a marathon, a way of life. Once you start to take this game seriously, you've got the app on your phone and your checking on it every couple of hours, joining alliances of the strongest guilds and competing in every clash and guild war.But the game actually has a very low barrier of entry. The total simplicity of the card crafting, upgrading, and fighting makes for a really easy-to-play casual game. It has a decent storyline with solid rewards and a convincing difficulty curve, and the cards themselves are well-drawn, easy to understand, and feature an exciting evolution-esque upgrade system.I have never found another CCG with such simplicity. The other games in this genre are saturated with over-complication and such absurd strategy that even after finishing the tutorial, you still don't know how the game works. But Spellstone's simplicity made me fall in love with it at first sight.Spellstone's a free-to-play CCG, so it's obviously pay-to-win; that just comes with the genre. An energy system also restricts the amount you can play in a single session, but there are so many things to do that you can play the game for hours at a time without waiting for recharges. You can compete for rewards constantly, in both PvP and PvE, earning premium cards for the performance of both you and your guild.Obviously, like all games, this one has its issues, but it's free-to-play and full of features.. Fast, fun card game that you can cross-play on your phone. The competitive events to win prizes solo and as guilds are a great hook to get you logging in daily. They do have daily log-in bonuses and stages/pvp to grind if you want to play cash free. I myself dropped cash on the game because i enjoy the fact i can get in a number of games at work and then relax with it at home. I threw $20 on a weekly special that got me some competive cards right out of the gate because of how much i like this game. They will entice you to spend more with dealshere and there and a VIP system that raises your cap energy depending on how much you have spent. Try it out! You have nothing to lose. Unless you have no self control and are an impulse spender. I my self am going to treat ths game like an mmo and give myself a $10-15 monthly budget. The only thing i find myself wishing for in this game is a Ranked livePVP montly setup like Hearthstone. My deck is somewhere in the middle so i either run people over or get blown away when i play the livePvP. They do have a PvP system where you play against computer controlled versions of players decks and rank up but it has a energy timer on it where the live PvP you can play as much as you want.. i just don't find it fun. Fun game. Can be successful without spending money, but better if you do.. Fun, addicting and overall well put together.. great game ,addictive but gets easy for a while depending on your choice of cards .didnt really find anything wrong with it.Its not a ptw (pay to win) unless you choose to spend lots of money on it to get cards. I played this game on mobile or kongregate a few years ago i forgot...and i loved this game, but it was to boring for me without new content...now it's on steam with a good ported tbh :)This game is not like hearthstone with taunts, power, etc it's just a simple card with attack, life and upgrade cards, etc like other games. It's not P2W because there is no best cards with money...you just need time to make good cards and farm...it's like Heroes of Camelot from mobile...in that game i spend a ton of time just to make good cards and teams to have good effect/powers,etc and i got a lot of good cards/gems from events and this game is like this...you just need time...some players hate games like this with just attack/life and upgrade because it's just a basic game and doesnt have something special strategy,etc...but just try this game it's free to play you have nothing to lose.
